The Executive Governor of Benue State, His Excellency, Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has departed Nigeria to travel to Washington DC.
The purpose of the trip is to attend an event organized by the Nigerian Professionals Network titled “Nurturing Nigeria’s Future – Activating New Partnership: Mobilizing Nigerian Diaspora Resources for Impact Investment”. Governor Alia will be a keynote speaker at the event.
He will also be meeting with the chairperson of the US Exim Bank.
According to Asortar James, the Governor will be joining other world leaders in attending the World Bank/IMF Spring Meetings, which are taking place from April 15-19, 2024.
The aim is to foster collaboration, knowledge exchange, and networking, as well as to harness the financial resources, expertise, and networks of the Nigerian diaspora to drive impactful investment in Nigeria.
Governor Alia will be representing both Benue State and the President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, at the event.
The Benue State Government remains committed to attracting investments, fostering entrepreneurship, and creating economic opportunities for its citizens.
